The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce this year's winners of the 2006 Orange Helmet Award.

The third annual event which took place on Saturday, March 11th was yet another sell-out and featured CBC's Brian Williams as Master of Ceremonies and Toronto Argonauts' head coach Michael ‘Pinball' Clemons delivering the keynote address. The Orange Helmet Awards recognize British Columbia's 2005 provincial champions at all levels of amateur football and honour the province's Community Coach of the Year, Scholastic Coach of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, and pioneers of the sport in this province.

Combined proceeds from all three Orange Helmet Award celebrations have now provided more than $65,000 in grassroots football support.
