2008 TIMBITS CAMP A ROARING SUCCESS!

While an average Saturday around the Lions’ Surrey practice facility is one of the quieter days in a typical week, the scene on Saturday, August 23rd was anything but ordinary in the Leos’ den.
Although 10:00 am on a Saturday morning qualifies as quality ‘sleep-in’ time for many people, more than 300 young Lions fans were lined up to register for the 2008 Timbits Camp by that time – the highest-ever turnout in the event’s five year history!
Sunny skies and balmy temperatures prevailed as the camp’s eager young participants between the ages of 6 and 12 took to the gridiron to make their way through several stations run by their Lions heroes.
Over the course of the three-hour camp, the littlest fans of the Black-and-Orange hit the field for drills not unlike those run at a typical Lions practice, having plenty of fun along the way!
Be sure to stay tuned for information on the 2009 Timbits Camp – who knows, your little Lion may just be a future star for the hometown team!
