
BC Lions center Angus Reid to conduct a free camp

BC Lions center Angus Reid will conduct a free strength-speed training clinic for explosive athletes on Sunday May 14.
The camp is open to all athletes' (boys and girls) ages 14 – 18 involved in sports that require explosive movements (i.e. Football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, hockey, track etc.) Emphasis will be placed on the basics and fundamentals of strength training for speed and power. In addition this camp will include information on correct body posture for efficient movement, plus exercise selection and program design.
“ This is a 2 hour camp, that is designed specifically to get young athletes started on the right path towards achieving their athletic goals.&rdquo Reid stated. “ In addition, I want to stress the importance of knowledge, hard work and patience, to all the athletes when staring down this long hard road to athletic mastery. “ Angus is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Angus is entering his sixth season with the BC Lions, and has over 10 years of experience actively helping athletes from beginners to pros, train properly to achieve their sporting goals.
