BOB ACKLES MEMORIAL PLANS SET

(Vancouver) The family of former Lions president and CEO Bob Ackles who passed away Sunday morning announced through the club that a private memorial service limited to family and close friends by invitation only will take place on Saturday, July 12^th.  

A public tribute in memory of Bob will take place following the BC Lion’s home game on Friday, July 18^th versus the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place.

The family has also requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the British Columbia Football Hall of Fame – a project that Bob had started prior to his passing. Donations can be forwarded to the Lions’ business operations office in Vancouver (765 Pacific Boulevard, Vancouver, V6B 4Y9).
