FELIONS FOCUS...GILLIAN

Hey Lions fans!

I'm so excited to back for my third season as a member of the Felions Dance Team, performing in front of thousands of fans and watching the game from the best seats in the house - the sidelines at BC Place!

Growing up in Richmond, BC, dance has always been a big part of my life.  I've been dancing since I was 11 years old (I'm 22 now) and am trained in a wide range of dance styles - jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, polynesian, belly dance and street dance are among them.  I have competed in many competitions in and around the lower mainland over the years, and have even traveled all the way to New York City to dance!  No matter where life takes me, I will always be a dancer. 

As a third-year vet on the Felions squad, I still get such a thrill from being on the sidelines pumping up the crowd during Lions home games.  The response from fans is always unbelieveable! 

A little more about me:  my favourite thing to do in the lower mainland is going to the beach on a hot summer day followed by some lunch on a patio and going out dancing at night (of course!).  On my list of must-see places is definitely Greece.  I come from an amazing supportive family who are all very close to me.  I have wonderful parents and grandparents, one brother, two sisters, and an adorable niece and nephew.  In my future, I plan to be as happy as I can possibly be.  The best advice I could ever give someone is to keep smiling no matter what and live every day to its fullest!
