(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that they have signed veteran non-import receiver O’Neil Wilson and well and import wideout Ryan Grice-Mullen to the team’s practice roster.

Wilson was originally a third round selection of the Montreal Alouettes in the 2004 Canadian Draft and played three seasons in Montreal before moving on to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2007. Wilson's best CFL season came in 2006 when he had 46 catches for 528 yards with Montreal and played in the team's Grey Cup loss to the Lions.

Last season, he appeared in a career-high 17 games hauling in 38 passes for 366 yards as well as a total of 4 catches for 68 yards in two playoff games for the Bombers. He also appeared in the Grey Cup for the second consecutive season but did not record a catch.

After being released by the Bombers, Wilson signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and appeared in two games registering three catches for 29 yards before being released again this past August.

Grice-Mullen joins the Leos after being released most recently by the Chicago Bears. An undrafted free agent coming out of the University of Hawaii, he was signed by the Houston Texans shortly after the 2008 NFL Draft. Grice-Mullen was released in June by the Texans before being signed by the Bears.

In three seasons with UH, Grice-Mullen hauled in 237 catches for 3,370 yards and 36 touchdowns. He was a First Team All-Western Athletic Conference selection following the 2007 campaign and finished sixth in the nation among receivers (106/1,372, 13).

Both players come to BC as the CFL announced that beginning on Monday, September 8, teams are permitted to increase their practice roster from a maximum of seven players to a maximum of twelve (12) players, continuing for a period of 30 days ending Tuesday, October 7th.

This period provides teams with an opportunity to evaluate additional players without affecting players currently on their practice rosters.
