(Vancouver)  The BC Lions Football Club announced today that they have added import linebackers Brandon Ogletree and Terna Nande as well as import defensive back B.J. Tucker to the team’s practice roster.

Ogletree comes to the Lions after attending training camp with the Miami Dolphins this past August where he originally signed as an undrafted free agent. A former teammate of Leos’ fullback Rolly Lumbala at the University of Idaho, Ogletree recorded 143 tackles and three sacks over 40 games, 19 as a starter.

Nande was a fifth round selection (137th overall) of the Tennessee Titans in 2006 and spent the majority of season on practice squad ultimately appearing in one contest that season (11/12 vs. Baltimore). He most recently attended training camp with the San Diego Chargers after being released by the Titans as well as a spending short stint with the Indianapolis Colts.

While attending the University of Miami (Ohio), he recorded 288 career tackles, 38 tackles for a loss, four interceptions and 11 sacks in 45 games (41 starts).  Nande earned second-team All-Conference honors as a sophomore and First-Team recognition as a junior.

Tucker is a three-year NFL veteran who began his career with the Dallas Cowboys who selected him with their sixth round selection (178th overall) in 2003. After being released by the Cowboys in training camp he spent time with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks before being allocated to NFL Europa and finally landing with the San Francisco 49’ers in 2005. Tucker appeared in a total of 10 games over two seasons before missing the 2007 season due to injury.

While attending the University of Wisconsin, Tucker notches a 76 tackles and a career-high five interceptions as a senior. In addition to his 34 games with the Badgers, he also ran track at Wisconsin and helped the school win the Big Ten Conference track title his first three years on campus.
