LIONS HOST SUBWAY 'DAY WITH THE LIONS' NEXT TUESDAY!

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce the return of the club’s SUBWAY® Day with the Lions on Tuesday, October 7th at the BC Lions’ Surrey practice facility. The annual event hosts up to eight Lower Mainland Grade 8 high school football teams, including six teams nominated via bclions.com and two finalists from the 2007 SUBWAY® Bowl.

SUBWAY® Day with the Lions gives Grade 8 football players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with professional football players and allow their coaches to shadow BC Lions coaching staff. The day includes transportation to and from the BC Lions’ Surrey practice facility to watch a Lions practice, an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Lions locker room and lunch courtesy of SUBWAY® restaurants.

SUBWAY® Day with the Lions is made possible by SUBWAY® restaurants, who are major sponsors of BC high school football. Over the past six years, SUBWAY’s ® sponsorship has encouraged participation and has contributed to the growth of youth football across the province. The SUBWAY Bowl, British Columbia’s high school football championship, will be held at BC Place on Saturday, November 29, 2008.
