(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that one of its key partners, BC Ferries, is once again offering late night sailings from Tsawwassen to Vancouver Island following several Lions home games during the 2008 season.
With a late night sailing departing Tsawwassen for Swartz Bay at 11:30 pm after the Lions home opener on Friday, July 4th, BC Ferries will also offer a late night sailing on that route on Friday, October 10th, and sailings to Duke Point on Saturday, September 13th and Saturday, September 27th.
The late night sailings, dubbed The Lions Express, are great news for football fans on Vancouver Island enabling them to return to the Island after cheering on the Lions.
“BC Ferries has demonstrated once again that they’re big fans of the Lions and we appreciate their support,” said Lions President and CEO, Bob Ackles. “Partnerships such as this are extremely valuable and enable us to share the excitement of Lions football with people across the province.”
"This is the third season that we’ve offered these late night sailings for our Vancouver Island customers so they can cheer on the BC Lions at BC Place and still return home that same evening," said David L. Hahn, BC Ferries’ President and CEO.
Reservations for the special sailings are not limited to BC Lions ticket holders so fans are encouraged to book early at www.bcferries.com to avoid disappointment.
