VANCOUVER (CFL.ca wire) -- The B.C. Lions announced today that non-import fullback Mark Nohra has re-signed with the club.
Nohra sat out all but two games due to injury over the past two seasons, missing the 2005 campaign in its entirety. Nohra had originally joined the Lions in 1998 as a free agent before moving on to Edmonton in 2000. His best season to date was with the Eskimos that year where he piled-up 760 rushing yards and five touchdowns. After a one-year stop in Ottawa in 2002, Nohra returned to B.C. in 2003 and is currently just one game short of 100 for his career.
The Lions also announced the signing of import offensive lineman Rob Murphy. A three-year starter while at Ohio State (1997-1999), Murphy signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 1999. From 2000-2004 he would spend time with Kansas City, Frankfurt (NFL Europe), Indianapolis, San Francisco and Detroit. He has appeared in 15 regular season NFL games.
