2012 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner

As one of Vancouver’s signature fundraising events, the BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that the ninth-annual Orange Helmet Awards Dinner presented by Scotiabank will be held on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver.

Since its inception in 2004, this annual salute to amateur football in British Columbia honours the 2011 provincial champions at all levels and recognizes hardworking coaches and volunteers throughout BC. As in past years, net proceeds from the dinner support amateur football in British Columbia.

The 2011 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner helped raise more than $70,000 for amateur football in British Columbia, bringing our combined total from the past eight Orange Helmet Awards Dinners to more than $500,000.

This year, we will celebrate by welcoming one of the greatest college running backs of all time as our guest speaker: 1982 Heisman trophy winner, former NFL star and current mixed martial artist Herschel Walker.

As in past years, the 2012 edition of the Orange Helmet Awards will also feature current BC Lions players and coaches along with an incredible live and silent auction.

Without a doubt, the 2012 Orange Helmet Awards Dinner will be a great night for a tremendous cause and we look forward to seeing you on Friday, March 30th to help us celebrate amateur football in British Columbia.
