Q: Who are the CAT Team?
A: The CAT Team is the BC Lions Customer Assistance Team. This dedicated group of volunteers are here to help make your game day experience the best possible, whether it is helping you find your seat, find a concession stand or ATM machine inside BC Place, passing along information about game night promotions, or just engaging in friendly conversation with our fans outside at the Street Party. The CAT Team members can be easily identified in their black CAT Team shirts.

Q: Can I put a "Happy Birthday" wish up on the DiamondVision screen during the game?
A: Unfortunately, due to our fulfillment requirements, we are unable to accommodate any special messages on the DiamondVision screen.

Q: Who chooses the music to play at a BC Lions game?
A: Our game day director and our DJ collaborate on the music playlist for the season. They try to select music that will appeal to as many fans as possible and that will only add to the enjoyment of the game. BC Lions players will sometimes make song suggestions, but ultimately the decision rests with the production crew. If you have a song suggestion, feel free to e-mail it to us at customerservice@bclions.com and we would be happy to take it into consideration.

Q: Why does the on-field announcer sometimes tell me to be quiet when I'm trying to cheer on the Lions?
A: Our players take a lot of audio instructions on the field prior to each play. When the Lions are on offence, fans are encouraged to keep noise to a minimum to allow our players the ability to communicate effectively. Conversely, when the opposition is on offence, we encourage our fans to be at their loudest possible to help make it as difficult as possible for the opposition to hear their play calls.

Q: What is "I'm a Fan Not a Fool" all about?

A: Fan-like conduct includes cheering, laughing, singing out loud, and doing the wave (on defence only of course!). The BC Lions and BC Place realize that our fans come to the stadium for a memorable, fun and safe experience. We encourage fans to be the ambassadors of their experience by alerting us to fools that are disrupting the game by engaging in: foul or abusive language or gestures, drug or alcohol impairment; indecent messages on signs or clothing; smoking; sitting in locations other than their ticketed seat; throwing objects; trespassing on the field or in restricted areas; or fighting. If a fool is interrupting your fan experience, speak to the nearest BC Place employee or call or text message 604.661.3434. Fans who possess an e-mail capable phone can also e-mail fan@bcplace.com.

Q: What is the best way to get to a BC Lions game?
A: Translink's Stadium/Chinatown Skytrain Station is conveniently located five minutes from BC Place. Visit www.translink.bc.ca for more information. There are two ways to access the stadium from the Skytrain. The Stadium station is located 5 minutes walking distance from Gate A via Beatty Street. A second entrance at street level on Expo Boulevard is open during all BC Place events. For fans traveling by bus, all suburban services connect with downtown Vancouver's #15 and #17 buses which provide the closest drop-off services for BC Place. For parking information at BC Place events, visit www.bcplace.com or call 604.661.7373.

Q: What goes on at the Terry Fox Plaza before every Lions home game?
A: For each regular season game, the BC Lions host a Street Party. Rain or shine, the Street Party starts two hours prior to kickoff and goes until the game starts. The Street Party features live music, food, inflatable games, face painting, and much more. Proceeds from the Terasen Barbecue as well as the BC Lions inflatable will go towards supporting the Lions Share charity of the game.

Q: What goes on outside the casino at the Plaza of Nations before some home games?
A: New for select games in 2009 is the BC Lions Tailgate Party in partnership with Edgewater Casino. Located just outside the casino at the Plaza of Nations, this event is a great way to kick-off your game night. The $25 ticket price for the tailgate party includes all-you-can-eat food in a great pre-game atmosphere. A cash bar is also available. For tickets or additional information, please contact us at 604.589.ROAR(7627). Remaining BC Lions Tailgate Party dates are September 4th vs. Montreal and September 19th vs. Toronto.

Q: What is Lions Share?

A: Lions Share is a partnership between the BC Lions and nine local charities. For each game in the regular season, a local charity is invited to come in to raise funds for their cause. Proceeds from the Street Party as well as the game day auction located at Level 243 inside BC Place go towards supporting that game's charity. For more information on the 2009 Lions Share Charities, click here.

Q: I brought the wrong season tickets to a game. What do I do?
A: Proceed to the Will Call booth outside Gate B and speak to the BC Lions Ticket representative located at the far left window- they will help you get your ticket situation sorted out.

Q: The lineups to enter the building are long and slow. Can the process by sped up so we don't miss the opening kickoff?
A: Gates A and H typically experience longer lineups as well due to their proximity to the Street Party and the Box Office. We advise our fans to arrive early and to make use of alternative entrances, particularly Gates E and F. Members of the CAT Team are also outside prior to the game and will often assist in re-directing fans to gates with the shortest lineups.

Q: Why am I not allowed to bring certain items into BC Place?

A: In the interest of providing guests with a safe and secure environment, BC Place has several procedures in place. All patrons are subject to search prior to being allowed entry into the building. Contraband in the form of any outside alcohol, cans or bottles or any projectiles and weapons will not be permitted into the building and will be confiscated. Possession of contraband will lead to refusal of entry. For added security, once admitted into the building, patrons will not be permitted to leave and re-enter BC Place during the course of the event. Please be advised any food and beverage not purchased at BC Place and coolers of any size are not permitted into the building. For a complete list of items that are not permitted inside BC Place, visit www.bcplace.com.

Q: Where can I find Guest Services at the game?
A: There are two Guest Services booths at every BC Lions home game. The main Guest Services booth is located on Section 234 (near Gate D). There is also a Guest Services booth on Level 4 at Section 446. The BC Lions group sales desk can also provide information services from the beginning of the game until the end of halftime. They are located on Level 212.

Q: Where is the Lost and Found at BC Place?
A: If you have lost or found any possessions or persons at any time during a BC Lions game, we ask that you report them to the Guest Services booth at 234. Following the end of the game, all lost articles AND persons will be redirected to the BC Place East Airlock control room. To arrange the pick-up of a lost item, please call 604.661.3429.

Q: What is the smoking policy at BC Place?
A: In accordance with the Smoking Restrictions in the City of Vancouver, BC Place is a non-smoking venue. BC Place does not have outdoor smoking areas and does not permit reentry.

Q: Why do you cut off beer sales in the third quarter?
A: To reduce the amount of alcohol-related incidents and to ensure that all of fans have a safe trip home after the game, we have instituted a purchase cut-off time of three minutes into the third quarter. You will still be able to purchase an alcoholic beverage as long as you enter a line-up prior to the five-minute mark of the third quarter, even if you are still waiting in line after the cut-off time has passed.

Q: Where do I go if I require first aid inside BC Place?

A: Should you or any of your party require medical attention within BC Place, we ask that you immediately alert the nearest BC Place staff member.
