Volunteer Registration

The BC Lions Football Club is looking to draft eligible persons of all ages and skill levels to join our team for the 2008 season!

There are a number of volunteer positions to be filled in a variety of game day areas such as:

• CAT Team (our Customer Assistance Team),
• Leo’s Pride (our pre- and post-game giveaway crew),
• In-stand promotional team,
• Street Party Crew,

Each of these positions is vital to creating a memorable Lions game experience, and we are looking for qualified, fan-friendly candidates to fill positions immediately.

All of the positions require a willingness to assist and approach Lions fans with a smile and a friendly sense of service, making the BC Lions the best on and off the field!

Note: These are volunteer positions, not internships and are not eligible to be school or community hour credits.

Join our winning team! Champions are made on and off the field. Being a BC Lions game day volunteer is a great experience and is an excellent addition to your resume.

CAT Team

The BC Lions Customer Assistance Team (CAT) was launched in 2006 with great success and the BC Lions are happy to once again bring back this popular team for the 2008 season. This team of 50 volunteers’ primary goal is to assist our fans in having the best possible experience on game day, including everything from greeting fans outside, directing them to the best entry gates, helping them find their seat locations, directing them to the closest ATM or merchandise booth, or just talking about the game. We become the familiar face in the crowd, sharing the Lion’s football season’s ups & downs with our fans.

If you like people, football and being of service, then this will be a great opportunity to have all three. You will need to commit to:

• A minimum of 7 out of 10 games
• 5 hour game day commitment (early or late start)
• Participation in pre-season orientation
• Respecting dress and conduct codes
• Provide post-shift evaluation
• Cheer for the home team!

For your season-long commitment and to ensure your game day enjoyment, the BC Lions will commit to:

• Providing AT team uniform
• Game day nutrition breaks
• Parking vouchers
• On-going training and team building activities
• Great working environment
• Awesome action on & off the field

Leo’s Pride Crew

The Leo’s Pride Crew is a team of 40 - 50 members who assist with pre-game and post-game handouts of all the Lions' great promotional items throughout the season.

Since the Leo’s Pride members are some of the first faces Lions fans see as they enter the building, we’re looking for people with great smiles and attitudes who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Members of the Leo’s Pride Crew must commit to:

• 8 - 10 home games
• 2 to 4 hour shifts at each game
• Participation in a pre-season orientation
• A great attitude!

In recognition of your time and commitment, the BC Lions provide each member of the Leo’s Pride crew with the following::

• 2 tickets to the pre-season game on June 19th versus Calgary
• 1 ticket to the game you work at
• 1 hot dog and pop voucher
• A BC Lions volunteer exclusive t-shirt

Street Party powered by Pepsi Crew

Two hours prior to each Lions home game, the corner of Robson and Beatty streets comes alive with music, inflatables, food and fun for Lions fans of all ages! We are looking for reliable, energetic crew members in reasonable physical shape who can handle all the fun out at the Terry Fox Plaza!

Members of the Street Party Crew must commit to:

• 7 - 9 home games
• 4 - 4.5 hour shift (approx. 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM)
• Assist in set-up, tear-down, and supervision of Street Party areas as assigned.

All Street Party Crew will receive:

• A BC Lions volunteer exclusive t-shirtA Street Party T-shirt
• 2 tickets to the game you work at
• 1 hot dog and pop voucher
• More fun than they can handle!
