Charlie was selected in round five (43rd overall) by the Lions in the 2023 CFL Draft. He signed his first pro contract with the club in late November of the same year.

College:

2018-22: Charlie suited up in 38 games over four seasons with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies and would record 86 solo tackles, 15 pass knockdowns, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Recorded three interceptions in the 2022 Hardy Cup Semi-Final win over Manitoba while earning Canada West All-Star accolades that same year. Suffered a torn ACL at the 2023 CFL Combine which kept him on the sidelines until inking his first Lions deal following the season.
