Jake was signed as a free agent by the Lions on February 14, 2024.

Highlights:

2023: Harty joined the Montreal Alouettes as a free agent and appeared in 14 games with four receptions for 36 yards and eight tackles on special teams. Earned a second championship ring in November when the Alouettes took down Winnipeg in the 110th Grey Cup.

2018-22: Signed as a free agent with Saskatchewan ahead of 2018 and would miss the next two seasons with an ACL injury that was aggravated during rehab. Harty debuted with the green and white in 2019 and hauled in 12 receptions for 71 yards and made 11 special teams tackles in 23 games from 2021-22. During his time rehabbing in 2019, Harty joined the Calgary Dinos’ coaching staff and was part of their Vanier Cup-winning squad.

2015-17: Harty was selected in round two (10th overall) by Ottawa in the 2015 CFL Draft and would debut in November of that season. From 2016-17, Harty appeared in 32 contests while recording 36 catches for 307 yards and one touchdown while making 13 tackles on special teams. Suited up in Ottawa’s 2016 Grey Cup win over Calgary and forced a fumble on a special teams tackle which would lead to a touchdown.

College:

2011-14: Harty suited up in 40 games with the Calgary Dinos and recorded 194 receptions for 2,432 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 27 carries for 244 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Proving his versatility, Harty added 36 kickoff returns for 1,021 yards and two touchdowns and 127 punt returns for 1,174 yards.  Harty also set a Canada West record for longest kickoff return, scoring a 110-yard major in 2012.  He also suited up in the 2014 East-West Bowl.
