Acquired:

John signed with the Lions as a free agent in December 2023.

Highlights:

2023: Signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in September as part of the NFL’s practice roster expansion.

2022: After healing from his injury, John landed with the Los Angeles Rams and would spend most of the season on the practice squad while being activated for one regular season contest.

2019-21: John was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in round seven (236th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He would suit up in three regular season contests as a rookie and made one reception for 11 yards in a week 17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list to begin 2020, he was waived by the team and re-signed to the practice squad for the remainder of the season. He would then be placed on injured reserve in August 2021 after suffering a torn ACL in the club’s second pre-season game.

College:

2015-18: After redshirting his first year, John went onto suit up in 33 games for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and hauled in 189 receptions for 2,662 yards and 22 touchdowns. Added six carries for 12 yards and two more majors on the ground. Named to the all-Mountain West first-team after recording five games of multiple touchdowns in the 2018 season.
