Acquired:

The BC Lions selected Siriman Harrison Bagayogo in round two (14th overall) of the 2023 CFL Draft.

Highlights:

2023: After making his CFL debut in a week five victory over Montreal, Bagayogo would suit up in 14 regular season games and racked up six special teams tackles plus three more on defence. The first-round draft pick also appeared in both playoff games.

College:

2022: Bagayogo became a two-time U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian and two-time OUA First-Team All-Star in his last year of eligibility with Guelph. He caught two interceptions while matching his two pass breakups from last year. The defensive back totalled eleven solo tackles and five assisted tackles. He scored a touchdown following a 29-yard interception return at Laurier in 2022.

2021: His second year with the Gryphons, he earned U SPORTS First-Team All-Canadian Honours after totalling 14.5 tackles in all six of Guelph’s games that season. 11 of those tackles coming unassisted, and 7 with help. He added two broken up passes, also earning OUA First-Team All-Star.

2019: In his first year with the University of Guelph Gryphons, Bagayogo played in all eight games, recording 18 solo tackles and six assisted. Aside from football, Bagayogo says he chose to attend Guelph to develop and commonly speak the English language, speaking majority French until this point.

2018: Bagayogo spent his freshman season of college football playing for the Champlain-Lennoxville College Cougars in Quebec.

Personal:

Bagayogo was raised by his mother in Bois-des-Filion, Quebec, he didn’t start playing football until 18-years-old. Growing up as a hockey and basketball player, he fell in love with football after a bet with his cousin over which sports has the best athletes. He majored in Sport Management during his time at the University of Guelph.
