SIMON SEES SENSE IN AMERICAN ELECTION

The Vancouver Sun's Mike Beamish reports that Lions slotback Geroy Simon, an American citizen, made his vote count in Tuesday's election.
"The thing you can draw from it is that anything's possible," Simon said. "I'm 33 years old, and I never thought I'd see the day that a black man is elected president. Now that it has happened, you think about all the people who didn't get to see this happen. I had an aunt, Fronnie Gumby, who died last week in Johnstown. She was 82 years old. She saw the build up to this day, but she didn't get to see it. It would have been a glorious moment for her to watch."
