Following a strong fourth season at St. Mary's University, Baboulas was selected by the Lions in the sixth round (41st overall) of the 2010 Canadian Draft.
Adam enjoyed a strong training camp with the Lions and then returned to St. Mary's for his fifth and final season of CIS football. Shortly after the conclusion of his college career he re-signed with the Lions and will attend training camp in 2011.
2012: Adam comes off his first full season of action seeing time in 17 of 18 games as a backup along the offensive line. He played all five positions at various times including centre and now has 22 games played over two years.
2011: Adam started the 2011 season on the club’s practice roster before making his CFL debut as a reserve offensive lineman on Jul 16/11 at Edmonton. He played five games in 2011 including a three-game stretch in September before spending the rest of the year on the practice roster.
2011-2012: Adam has completed two seasons with the Lions with 22 regular season games under his belt. Adam joined the Lions in the 2010 CFL Draft, being selected 41st overall.
He spent part of the 2010 season on the club’s practice roster before returning to St. Mary’s for his final year of eligibility.
Adam appeared in 35 career games for the St. Mary’s Huskies from 2006 through 2010. His solid play along the offensive line earned him a starting role in each of the past three seasons as well as a selection to the AUS All-Star squad in 2009 and 2010.
Adam spends his off-season time in his hometown of Oshawa, Ontario. He began playing football at the age of 13 and notes both his Vanier Cup appearance in 2007 along with being drafted by the Lions as his biggest football memories to date.
When not preparing for football, you will find Adam either listening to some of his favourite bands including Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine and the Tragically Hip, or making music of his own by way of playing guitar or the drums.
Adam was a Psychology major at St. Mary’s and played alongside current notable CFL’ers Marc Beswick and Tim St. Pierre.
