Khreem was signed as a free agent in July 2011 and was placed on the club's practice roster.
2012: Khreem continued his fine play on the defensive line with 17 starts in the regular season, missing just one game (Oct 26/12 at Calgary). He was third on the club and fifth in the CFL with seven sacks while adding 20 tackles. His three forced fumbles led the Lions and tied for third in the league overall.
Khreem had sacks in six different games including a season-high two vs Hamilton on July 6/12.
2011: Khreem became an important early season addition to the Lions defense in 2011, stepping into the lineup in Week 4 (July 22nd vs Hamilton). He joined the club as a free agent on July 5, 2011 and after three weeks on the practice roster, could not be moved out of the lineup the rest of the way.
Khreem made 14 starts in the regular season as well as the Western Final and Grey Cup. He finished fifth on the club with five sacks, adding 27 tackles, three of which were for a loss. He recovered two opponent fumbles and forced two more to create opportunities for the Lions offence.

2011-2012: Khreem joined the BC Lions in July 2011 as a free agent signing. He has now spent two seasons with the club, recording 12 sacks and five forced fumbles in 32 regular season games.
2004-2010: Khreem attended the Baltimore Ravens training camp in 2004 and later played for the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League. In 2006, Smith was signed to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad, moving to the active roster late in the 2006 NFL season.
In 2007, Smith was released by Minnesota in training camp and signed to the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster on Dec 5/07 and finished the season there. On February 13, 2008, he was placed on waivers. He signed with Chicago of the Continental Indoor Football League in 2009.
1999-2002: Khreem played two years at Garden City Community College before transferring to Oklahoma State in 2001. Over the span of two seasons with the Cowboys, he had 61 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss and four sacks.
